Access to MSNBC audio during breaking news? Awesome... they always play the best pre-taped prison documentaries while the world is exploding.
 
CBS Radio sounds the best in my book - smooth, calm and very well written. It is the true Fair and Balanced network. Harley Carnes is great, and delivers the best kickers in the business.
 
I know no one has mentioned but there is always the option of SRN Radio News from Salem or IRN/USA News as other "toh" news options..
