This comes down to how the league responds to plans for their season.
Chicago Cubs fans might avoid a shutout in their hopes to watch their favorite team on television — and maybe even in person.
The team is close to finalizing an agreement with several carriers, including Comcast, to carry their televised games on the Marquee Sports Network.
“The pace has picked up dramatically, and I would just say we were very close to a deal,” Crane Kenney, the Cubs president of business operations, told the “Dan Bernstein Show” on WSCR-AM 670 on Thursday.
Kenney said the team and Comcast, which carries nearly half of the cable homes in the Chicagoland, were in the final stages of a deal before the coronavirus shutdown in mid-March.
