CBS/Minneapolis For Sale?

Last week, CBS announced they would sell "fifty" stations in mid-size markets. The number of stations below market 20 just happens to equal 50.

Today, a quote from today's Tom Taylor newsletter:

"... One savant says "Dan Mason says that in markets where they don't have four or five FMs, they will be sellers." They want a big presence in a market."

CBS owns just three stations in this market - so could they be on the block?

CBS makes too much money in NY and Philly, plus the highly complimnet their TV outlets.

San Diego on the other hand, along with Cleveland, Minneapolis and Saint Louis dont really belong in the portfolio.

TT said that Hartford could very likely be sold, the only problem that I see with that is CBS dominates that market. They own the major brands and make the most money.

I could see Minneapolis sliding into the portfolio of Northern Lights?

I re-read the statement by Les and it actually says "50 station." I don't see them selling WCCO TV or AM, those are big players. I have a feeling it will smaller lesser known stations in lesser known markets (although the talk about KDKA suprised me). CBS has a pretty big presence in Mineapolis, so I don't see it. But who knows?
