Call Letters

Looks like there is a low-power station in North Carolina using our calls for their station. It's becoming really annoying on social media. There is also an AM with our calls in NY but I'm told that we can't force a name change for them since they're an AM. Since the one in NC is on FM albeit a low power FM... can we force a name change... or at least pursue it?

FCC allows different stations to share the same call only with the permission of the original call sign holder--and must be a different service. Most likely a previous owner either gave permission to the NY AM to use the call, or the reverse.
