Apple seems to be on a roll in conceptualizing the most advanced technological devices.
It has not yet been that long since newest additions to the iPhone and iPad families have been introduced, but the tech giant is working on yet another product reportedly called the ‘iRing’.
What is now predicted to be the company’s tiniest gadget to date has recently been granted a patent by the United States Patent and Trademark Office.
Entitled “Devices and Methods for a Ring Computing Device”, the patent application provides details about the iRing’s structure and features.
Preferably, it is mounted on the index finger so that the thumb, or any second finger, can easily operate the small touchscreen.
It offers the usual range of services that tech-savvy individuals enjoy, such as photography, microphone accessibility, time telling, and even digital recording of handwritten notes.
In addition, for users who are conscious with the status of their health, it is equipped with biometric sensors that have the ability to determine a person’s heart rate, temperature, and perspiration levels.
Further, similar to how an iWatch works, the iRing can also interact with the user’s iPhone. As stated in the patent document, “A user controls an external electronic device with a finger-ring-mounted touchscreen that includes a computer processor, wireless transceiver, and rechargeable power source.”
As of posting, there is no official confirmation from Apple yet regarding the target release date of the product. But with the continuing buzz circulation, it may be safe to assume that the iRing is another global hit in the technology industry.
