AM 760 back up to 50kw nights?

After operating with the same day and night power (5kw) for at least a year, 760 KGB-AM is apparently back to running 50kw nights. A few weeks ago, their signal strength at my location jumped up to its old level.

Does anyone know why they were running reduced night power for so long? Might it have something to do with diplexing KOGO on its towers?
