Ad Rates For New Syndicated Program

I've gotten a lot of great feedback on a weekly 70's retrospective that I created, produced and hosted for an AC station located on eastern Long Island. I'm looking to get the show syndicated and this board has provided some great info and tips to help me get started. Thanks!

The popular consensus is that I should shop the program for barter on my own. The theory is that the more stations that carry the show, the more attractive it (and it's audience) becomes to a syndicator and it's core advertsers. While I'm more than willing to do this, the question is how to procure sponsors? How do you get someone to buy ad time to sell their product or service on a program that may or may not air in their market? And how do I come up with a rate schedule for the spots?

I'm hoping that someone on this board will have the "magic pill" that will answer all of my questions. Click and paste the following for program information and scoped audio from the show:

Thanks again and HAVE A NICE DAY!

The question is, what market is it currently running?. In
addition is it outperforming the competition in the Arbitron?
What size market are you on in? Show sounds good, but unless
you already have a success story on a local-basis, it could
be tough going. I have successfully syndicated programming
& know some of the pitfalls. I wish you the best.
