93.1 WMGX Morning Show Co-host Retiring

Some Portland Radio Group news ... RadioInsight is reporting that Coast 93.1 WMGX morning show cohost Eva Matteson will be retiring at the end of February. The reasons for leaving are desire to travel and health issues. We wish her well with both. Eva has been with the Portland Radio Group (in various positions) since 2005. Parent company, Saga Communications, is launching a search for Eva's replacement.

Saga Communications AC “Coast 93.1” WMGX Portland ME has found a successor for Eva Matteson when she retires at the end of February.

The Portland Press-Herald reports that local salsa maker Kelly Towle will join WMGX as co-host alongside Blake Hayes starting Monday, March 2. The newspaper states that Towle first made appearances on WMGX and other stations in the market to promote her Plucked Fresh Foods and later won a contest to fill-in for Matteson leading to multiple auditions last month.
