ESPN to update 30 for 30 “Believeland” with new Cavaliers ending
The ESPN 30 for 30 documentary “Believeland” which focused on the championship failures in Cleveland is now out of date. Thanks to the Cavaliers’ NBA Championship this week, the hard-luck city is no longer suffering a trophy drought. So the producers will be updating the documentary to include the Cavs’ championship.
According to a
tweet from ESPN Cavs beat reporter Dave McMenamin, the updated doc will air later this month:
ESPN announced it is updating the "Believeland" 30 for 30 with a new ending focusing on the Cavs' championship. It will air June 30th
This is similar to when HBO aired the documentary “The Curse of the Bambino” in 2003 and then produced an update “Reverse of the Curse of the Bambino” in 2005 following the Boston Red Sox breaking an 86-year World Series drought in 2004.
