1240 off the air

For the past few days, 1240 was off the air. It used to be WBAX, but now the call letters are WFUZ simulcasting Rock 107's main FM signal. What was the point of putting Rock 107 on an AM signal? Everyone doesn't listen to AM radio anymore(except for the old geeks), and which also explains WILK's FM signal being introduced like 15 years ago.

Anyone know if the transmitter is going to be fixed? If not, would it meet the same fate as WARM where it was temporarily silent for months until it was brought back online and held the CBS sports radio format before flipping to yet another FM simulcast of Bigfoot Country legends?
