101 Sam FM in Eastern NC is the best Ive ever heard

of the Jack FM type of variety stations. A good number of songs have had the "I cant believe this is being played on the radio" feeling.

We have a SAM FM up here in VA (WOJL 105.5) and initially they sounded pretty good, but soon enough, you start hearing the same stuff over and over. This one is all voice-tracked with no live DJ's or any local news either. Funny enough its owned by a local company. Go figure.

Some Friday nights and late on Sunday noghts they rotate in a few obscure tunes, but mostly they've tightened up their playlist.

I just heard the Police's Cant Stand losing you and Britney Spears latest hit from 2011 back to back. Thats pretty incredible.
