98.1 WOGL A-Z Countdown...anyone tuned in?

Good to hear some of the #1's they don't touch anymore, with maybe the exception of Street Corner Sunday. That being said, if they are #1's and are being played on this countdown why not add them back to the regular rotation?

Yeah, I've been tuning in too!! Sure takes radio back to the earlier days when specialty weekends were more unrestrictive. Good to hear these #1 songs played like this. Very few, if any, stations have tried this sort of specialty for many years and I'll give kudos to WOGL for attempting this. It would be nice next year, to play them in chronological order from 1960 to 1989 (heck I'd start in 1955!!)

GREAT JOB WOGL!!! Great Labor Day Weekend Specialty!

Unfortunately we won't hear most of these in rotation, due to tight music testing standards...but heck, THEY ARE PLAYING THEM NOW!

A lot of "A-Zs" going on across the country this weekend. I've been tuned in to a AAA station up in the Hudson Valley listening to their "entire playlist" knowing full well it's just a sampling put together for entertainment purposes. In this case, the station is focusing heavily on Classic Rock with just a smattering of post-Nirvana tracks, despite their regular playlist featuring a fair amount of new tracks and recent recurrents. It makes for good theater and a bit of variety outside the usual playlist straightjacket.

Another massive A to Z this Memorial Day Weekend. Over 2000 songs were mentioned as being played. Just curious though as to why 1980's "Xanadu" would not be played for the letter X. Olivia must be frowning!
