Since I'm the first to be back on the boards let's say a final farewell to a Radio station that was is and always will be "South Florida"

Goodbye 80s! Goodbye Gnarly! Goodbye radio worth listening to!

Hello to Hits 97.3, a radio station designed to be exactly what it is.....corporate radio from 20 year old kids who know nothing about listeners or radio

While I agree that we should mourn the Coast of Gnarly Charlie's day, the new Hits 97.3 has an advantage over Y and 'MIA: It is live and local. I have listened to the KVJ Show for years and generally enjoy it. While Y has one local jock and 'MIA has none, at least Hits is live and local.

Gotta give Cox broadcasting kudos for live and local. They are in the battle to win. Good.luck.

I do miss 97a1a and 97gtr for those who remember.

South Florida Radio Network adds local "coast" stream to it's line up of stations.www.FloridaCoastRadio.com Coast will feature music played from the great days of the coast and DJ's like Gnarle Charlie and More.
