Hurricane Song Preparedness

Of course when Katrina hit, playing "Walkin' On Sunshine" was bad form, so rock stations need to pull "Dear Maria, Count Me In" by All Time Low, country stations need to pull "My Maria" by Brooks & Dunn, classical stations need to pull "Ave Maria" and so on as soon as possible.

MDs across the country may need to keep up with weather reports so their stations don't play a "hurricane song" during/after the next major hurricane.

Don't forget.....B.W. Stevenson's "My Maria"......!!!
Ray Conniff...."Sweet Maria"
And, of course.....Johnny Mathis (from "West Side Story")...."Maria"
Hey,ya never know when one of thest MIGHT pop up in a playlist!!!!;)

I can tell you from experience when a hurricane is heading you way, the last thing you are thinking of is music rotations and song selection.

Most stations haven't played Bob Dylan's "Hurricane" for some time.
