No matter what happens with Entercom-CBS merger, the
Pattiots flagship will continue to be WBZ-FM 98.5 The Sports Hub.Contract extension.

Swell. No, seriously, this is wonderful news.

Now if only someone can (please) tell me that the Entercom-CBS merger has stalled and will not be restarted I would have to block my ears not to hear the loud, wondrous shouts of joy!

Could ESPN purchase WEEI from Entercom? They currently operate the station under an LMA, and I was thinking if it would be possible for ESPN to purchase the station outright.

I did read somewhere that ESPN could outright purchase WEPN-FM in New York City if Emmis plans to divest the rest of their radio stations.

No they don't. No evidence of an LMA in the public file.

Just because ESPN is aired 24/7 on WEEI doesn't mean there is an LMA in place.

The AM station is under an LMA, not the FM station. Although it would be interesting if ESPN were to purchase 93.7.

I'm referring to the AM station. No LMA.

Do you always get this aggressive with other forum users who aren't up to your precise level of FCC law and the basic principles of broadcasting? Just an observation. Nothing personal.
