CHUM 104.5 AND CKFM 99.9 now both broadcasting in HD

I noticed tonight during my drive into Buffalo that both CHUM and Virgin Radio have HD and are running AM stations on each of their HD2's. Being that Buffalo has other stations/translators near 104.5 and 99.9, the HD from Toronto is iffy but it's there.

It's too bad none of Bell's AM stations have any desire to go back to music.
1050 CHUM (TSN 1050) is sticking with sports, competing with Sportsnet-Fan 590.
If anything, it's 1150 CKOC (TSN Hamilton) that really needs to go back to oldies and surface on HD radio as an oldies station with great sound.

FACT: Since switching from oldies/classic hits to sports radio, CKOC 1150 has gained absolutely no ground, and fell well below the ratings they had with music.
They have no audience at all with less than a share in the market.
They have the Tiger cat audience, and that is all now.
Too bad Bell media can't see the forest through the trees. CKOC was a great oldies/classic hits station.
HD radio would make up for the difference between AM and FM quality and sound.

Since the fire in the CN Tower this summer, not sure if HD is off for good or power is so low that it does not make it across the lake. Does anyone know if iboc is on or off?
