Harris impulse issue question

Hello,

I am helping a friend that has an Harris Impulse console, and recently did started revealing an issue:

The console would just reset suddenly all of nowhere, the console lights and switches would turn off and turn on back (like a kind of reboot cycle), when turning off power from the console or disconnecting AC from the console and applying power back to the console a couple of seconds later, it would resume normal operation and all the hiccups would stop, but this issue happens now and then.

Perhaps there might some one that has experienced this also on their Harris Impulse console, and perhaps can give an indication what might the possible cause of this problem ?

Thanks

Probably one of the power supplies beginning to fail. Depending on the serial number, GatesAir may have a replacement available. Back when it was Harris, they had a bad run of power supplies through a supplier. Harris was offering replacement supplies at no cost. Of course, whether that offer is still around now that Harris no longer owns the broadcast division, remains to be seen.

I had one that did the same thing...there is a small voltage adjust in the power supply...turning that up a volt brought it back to life until I could replace the supply.
