WFAN Inks Studio Naming Rights for Boomer & Carton

WFAN (Sports Radio 66AM and 101.9FM) New York enters into a multi-year partnership with Investors Bank under which the bank will become the exclusive studio naming rights partner of the station's signature show, "Boomer & Carton." Hosted by Boomer Esiason and Craig Carton, the show airs weekday mornings from 6-10am. Beginning Monday, "Boomer & Carton" will broadcast live from the Investors Bank Studio, located inside the CBS Radio New York facility.

"Investors Bank has served New York and New Jersey for 90 years and like WFAN they are committed to serving the local community," said CBS Radio New York Senior VP/Market Manager Marc Rayfield. With similar values, we are extremely proud to align our brands."

Not sure it's a new studio. Just a new name for it. Very common thing for radio stations to do this. Not unlike naming rights at stadiums or arenas. Another way to advertise without spots.

WUCS Windsor Locks/Hartford, until recently, worked "From the Gene Langan Volkwagen studio" into every ID, top and bottom of the hour, even if the programming the ID played during was ESPN Radio network talk or sports play-by-play, none of which had anything to do with any studio in Hartford. Apparently, the dealership must not have gotten the rub it thought it would get and didn't renew its deal, because the IDs have now gone generic.

These sponsorships change like people change their socks. On WUCS's sister station The River 105.9 I've heard "From The Cardio Express Studios", "From The Trantolo and Trantolo Studios", "From The Connecticut Lighting Center of Southington and Hartford Studios."

Right now WZMX in Hartford is "From the Stone Academy Studios". WBQT in Boston is "From the Planet Fitness Studios."
 
on the id breaks during chaz and aj, the morning show on wplr in connecticut, they would say 'from the on track karting studios', they might still do that.
