Shotgun made some incredible LARP Video Airchecks in the mid 80s. Everyone loved seeing Shotgun aside from Rick Dees who wanted to call the Police at KIIS, that being another story. Bobby Ocean & Rick Carroll can be seen in the background with Shotgun filming and regularly heard as the KROQ voice. Enjoy!

I always knew who Shotgun was from local L.A. Commercials that he did. KIIS always had neat people dropping by. Rick Dees was very controlling, no question, no doubt. He once tried to have my employment removed because he didn't like the sound quality of the logger tapes that recorded at 15/16ths, if that. Anyway Shotgun loved to film these Radio airchecks and was well loved himself. So one day Tom came to KIIS & KPRZ doing his thing and Dees became irate, he wasn't a pleasant fellow as many would like to believe. Dees wanted Shotgun removed but that didn't happen. At no point was Shotgun filming Dees or there without permission.
