Earle C. Anthony

I know that Earle C. Anthony took over KEHE at one point in Los Angeles and converted that into KECA though.

...more specifically, Anthony bought KEHE/780 (pre-NARBA) from Hearst (EHE = Evening Herald Examiner) and moved KECA onto the frequency from 1430 in 1939...

Sinclair's KECA is totally unrelated. Anthony's KECA (which merged with KEHE) became KABC in Los Angeles in the early fifties. The American Broadcasting Company had owned it since 1944 but was precluded from using the call sign because the call letters were in use by a station in San Antonio, Texas.

True KECA-LD (Sinclair Broadcasting)Eureka is only 3 years old . But the Los Angeles version of KECA was because it was named after Anthony. KECA in Eureka was randomly assigned to a Eureka station.

Or was requested by the owner because KECA looks like "Eureka"...uh...Eureca?

KEWB - The Bay Area's version of KFWB Color Radio back in the day - are the call letters for the Redding CA Hip Hop station "Power 94". They probably branded it as "Cube" at some point.

Yes and its Sinclair television that owns KECA Eureka. It's the Same group that's going to take over KTLA Los Angeles.

Note Sinclair took over Bonten Media (Former owner of KECA Eureka) just one month prior to Sinclair Taking over Tribune (KTLA's parent company).
