Some good stuff tonight coming this way near the League City area...

92.3 KETX Livingston (cc)
93.9 KMXR Corpus (cc)
95.1 KYKR Beaumont
96.3 classic country?
96.7 KISS Austin "KHFI"?
97.3 The Dog Lafayette, LA (cc)
98.1 KVET?
99.7 KVST Conroe (cc)
100.5 KMVL Madisonville
103.3 HOT KBIU Lake Charles
101.7 KAYD Beaumont (cc)
103.5 BOB San Marcos (cc)
103.9 The Wolf?
107.3 playing classic hits (from where?)
107.9 KIXS Victoria is BACK!

(cc) denotes "crystal clear reception."

My former car radio antenna was recently ripped to shreds at the car wash and I just got a 16 inch one off EBAY. If these are the results I can expect, I'm a happy camper.

Add 105.5 with classic country. Possibly BUCK FM & the Big Dog returns at 106.1 making it thru the damn translator.

103.9 is probably KJXJ in Franklin/College Station. 96.3 is the real puzzler as there are no Classic Country formatted stations within 300 miles of League City, with the closest high power country outlet being KSCS Dallas. There is an FM translator in Paris carrying Classic Country via KPLT, maybe its KGGB?

107.3 is KAPN up in College Station.

Yeah it was really nice. It tore up HD reception, though - couldn't get a lock on almost anything local. Even the analog signal on almost all locals was under serious assault by more distant stations. We get enough skip maybe these translators will realize it is futile and give up.

I saw your post this morning around 3:30am, so I decided to check the dial myself. I happened to be parked at the top of a parking garage in Kingwood. Here's what I got:

92.3 KETX Livingston "The Eagle" (clear like a local)
92.5 playing adult hits didn't get an ID
92.7 KIVY "Real Country" - Crockett, TX
92.9 KHLA "The Lake" - Lake Charles, LA (staticky but completely overriding KKBQ)
93.5 KBPC "Pine Country" - Crockett, TX (clear)
93.9 KMXR "Big 93-9" - Corpus Christi, TX (booming like a local, wow!)
94.1 KQXY "Q94" Beaumont, TX (strong signal)
94.7 KVLL "My 94-7" Wells/Lufkin, TX (staticky but solid)
94.9 Spanish didn't get an ID
95.1 KYKR "Kicker 95.1 - Beaumont, TX (like a local)
95.5 KAFX "KFox 95.5" Diboll, TX (Staticky but solid)
97.7 KDCL "Sunny 97.7" - Dulac/Houma, LA (clear like a local)
99.5 KNGT "Gator 99.5" Lake Charles, LA (clear)
101.3 KKGB "Rock 101" Lake Charles, LA (staticky, solid)
102.3 WGCM "Coast 102" - Gulfport, MS (wow! staticky, solid)
102.7 KJXK "102-7 Jack FM" - San Antonio (some static but solid like a rim shot)
103.9 KJXJ "103.9 The Wolf" - Bryan/College Station TX (clear like a local)
104.5 KKMY "104-5 Kiss FM" - Beaumont, TX (clear like a local)
104.7 KKYS "Mix 104-7" - Bryan/College Station, TX (staticky, solid)
105.1 KFTE "Classic Rock 105.1" - Lafayette, LA (clear)
106.1 KIOC "Big Dog 106" - Beaumont, TX (booming)

btw another Classic hits on 107.3 is KAJE "Jake FM" in Corpus.

93.1 KQID Alexandria (clear in downtown)
94.5 KSMB Lafayette (obliterating KTBZ); audible in spots where it could punch through

Wow, today has been incredible. It's like Houston is the chilli bowl for all dxing radio today! add a couple more to the list
1. 97.3 97J country San Antonio
2. 97.7 Air1 Radio Mcqueeny, Tx.
3. the infamous 97.5 "Real Country" Corpus Christi Tx

Nice catches, my friends.

I'm guessing the 6m and 2m bands are probably hopping as well. I would personally check but I'm in Dallas.

I'm just glad this site is hoppin'. At times it seems, well kind of slow. In the past, that wasn't the case.

96.3 possibly KGID Giddings? they are playing classic country.

btw another Classic hits on 107.3 is KAJE "Jake FM" in Corpus.[/SIZE]

107.3 in Corpus Christi is now "My country 107.3" Jake is gone.

I just heard the news earlier this afternoon. I can't believe it. That was my go to station when I'm on Corpus

When did they flip? I guess there's really no classic hits station now in Corpus?
