iHeartRadio has a new TV app on DIRECTV, so customers can sit back and listen to their favorite music, talk shows, and sports radio on their TV, with no additional equipment needed. The iHeartRadio app is searchable by station, genre, location, and keywords, so listeners can easily find their favorites. There are several shows and stations waiting to be discovered, including sports radio from ESPN, Fox Sports, and more.

IheartRadio app is now for AT&T Customers via directv

the app launched last month on DirecTV, in fact, SatteliteGuys.US reported it first a month ago.

plus, you need a second generation (HR44) or third generation (HR54) Genie whole home DVR system and Genie-Minis that are connected and linked to the Genie DVRs and internet access to be able to use the iHeartRadio app on the Genie DVRs.

to access the App, you need to hit the right arrow button on your DirecTV DVR remotes or go to channel 800 on your Genie DVR.

Is this the primary music portion of DirecTV, or do they also offer Music Choice?

Seems like a good thing for iHeart. They likely get some additional cash flow with minimal cost impact.

they don't have Music Choice, just Sonic Tap, they used to have XM before the Sirius-XM merger years ago.

I haven't subscribed to DirecTV in a few years...I know when I had the HD DVR, they also had apps for YouTube and Pandora. Are those still available?

Yes. Still on there when I checked on my Genie unit...kinda hidden (I don't think there's an 'APP' button on the remote), but they're still there (without iHeart...perhaps my receiver has not received the update yet)
