http://news.radio-online.com/cgi-bin/rol.exe/headline_id=n33912

This is a Multi-Year Deal with the San Jose Earthquakes and KTCT 1050. Also the San Jose Earthquakes ended their deal with KLIV-AM San Jose recently

Cumulus Media's KTCT-AM (KNBR 1050)/San Jose and the San Jose Earthquakes have entered into a multi-year agreement, making the all-Sports outlet the new radio flagship of the Bay Area's MLS team. KNBR 1050 will air all games plus pre-game and post-game shows. The broadcast team will include Ted Ramey and Joe Cannon. Ramey, who also hosts weekdays 12-3pm on KNBR 1050, will serve as the primary play-by-play voice on the radio for the fourth consecutive year, with Cannon as the color analyst for all home broadcasts.

San Jose Earthquakes Executive VP Jed Mettee said, "We are looking forward to a great partnership with KNBR. KNBR is one of the top sports radio brands in the country and we are happy to be a part of the station's wide array of entertaining programming. With all the great talk shows and live sports, it is an ideal location for fans to listen to Quakes games."

KNBR 1050 Program Director and KNBR 680 Assistant PD Jeremiah Crowe added, "We couldn't be more excited about the partnership between these two energized brands. The Quakes are a perfect fit for KNBR 1050's expanding lineup and their game day experience is second-to-none across the market. We look forward to bringing that experience to the local airwaves and our loyal listeners starting March 4."

Prior to partnering with KNBR 1050, the Earthquakes flagship station for each of the last six seasons had been KLIV-AM. "We appreciate our partnership with KLIV over the past six years," said Mettee. "They were terrific to work with and always were big supporters of the team. We wish them continued success."
