KDEY FM Ontario Stunning.

Guns N Roses keeping looping and a message keeps coming up saying 'listen to this station tomorrow at 9:30am to see what will become of this station'

I'm guessing it's going Rock or Alternative since we lost X 103.9fm a year ago.

KDAY is jockless too but still playing classic hip hop in LA area.

Obviously something is up. But X 103.9 is not a model to be emulated. When it went out, it was radically under-performing.

They should try dance. Why won't anyone give dance a fair shot? ;)

Because it does not generate large enough audiences for sales.

Dance is very fragmented... there are partisans of all the subsets of Dance / EDM that don't like some of the other varieties. And there are old school dance fans who don't like currents and so on. The lack of consensus is what killed the Cox dance stations in Miami.

Just in case it wasn't clear from the context that my post was in facetious jest, I included the emoji. Guess it still didn't work.

Doesnt appear to be a website yet to listen online to Wild 93. But we are talking about an owner who doesn't really know radio that much nor probably cares to have a website.

Funny that this thread is titled "KDEY FM Ontario Stunning", cuz it's not stunning, rather it's as 30james implied, underwhelming, and a musical approach already well served by others in the IE. Of course the title should have said "Stunting".
LARadio.com has the scoop, explaining that KDEY flipped to Urban Wild 93.5 at 9:30 a.m. and is positioned as 'The IE’s #1 For Hip-Hop and R&B'. Wild 93.5 goes up against iHeartMedia Rhythmic CHR 99.1 KGGI. The 'Wild' branding and Hip-Hop format was previously utilized in the Riverside/San Bernardino market by what its now 96.1 KRQB-San Jacinto from 2004-07.

Consultant K.M. Richards has 'broken it down' for those who would like to read more over at the L.A. Radio site

My bad lol. Stunting!

The interesting thing is that many comments say that KDEY is going to "compete with KGGI". Yet most of KDEY's limited signal covers an area that is outside the Riverside / San Bernardino market in a zone that is not rated. KGGI, on the other hand, covers nearly all the population centers of the same market with an excellent signal. The two are really not competitive as they don't cover the same areas.
