Employees of The Image Company Salons of Connecticut were notified via text message from the owners of the salons Monday night that they no longer had jobs.

Family Haircut in Bristol. And Image Company Salon in Cheshire and Glastonbury.

It should be noted Family Haircut's 2nd Bristol location behind the 99 Restaurant in Forestville closed in October 2015.
 
I can understand this more when it's a closure instead of an individual action. Especially when multiple locations are involved. If done individually, rumors spread and can make the process, already stressful for employees, even worse. No excuse for this when it's an individual action though.
