FROM 1950s: Radio Station charts (top tune music surveys) from HI - DO ANY EXIST?

Hello all,

My sixth thread of the six I'm posting here.

Has anybody seen any RADIO STATION HIT LISTS (charts, surveys) listing the week's top songs - from Hawai'i - from the 1950s?? Other than KPOA, I would be very interested in knowing about any such items. These were printed lists of the top songs, and people could usually pick them up in record shops, etc.

I would include KAIM, from the early 1960s, in my question as well. I've understood that they started out as a rock and roll station, but KORL/KPOI was just too much for them.

I am very interested in finding out about any original 1950s Hawai'i surveys; even just the information that they existed would be helpful.

I am also very interested to know if there was any such thing published in any local newspapers. Somebody once researched the Star-Bulletin for me, and it appears there was never a column in there showing local hits on radio stations, but I am not aware that anybody has researched the Advertiser to see if any such column existed.

Mahalo for any information on any of this material that may have existed!
