    The Debate Commission has reported that there was indeed a mic issue:

    They say it affected sound "in the hall" but perhaps more detail will follow.

    Curtis Sliwa on WABC New York's "The Drive at Five" today interviewed Allan "Sniffen" (his real name) about this issue. Sniffen's take is that Trump simply holds the mic too close and angles it toward his nose which doesn't help. He may well be right. Here's the audio:

    I think even more so.

    I noticed it in the 2nd one, not the first one so much. He has a somewhat nasal voice, I think he breathes through his mouth before speaking.

    Clearly not an issue with the people doing the sound, but rather the person speaking.
