Michael Harrison Doing Tribute to Dr. Joy Browne

Michael Harrison, publisher of "Talkers" Magazine, and his wife Bernadette Duncan, are today (9/12) hosting the Dr. Joy Browne show, as they did this past Friday. He's inviting listeners to call in and talk about Dr. Joy's passing and what she meant to them as listeners. Some people calling the show have a humorous story they remember, others are quite teary-eyed and sad about losing her. He is not sure whether the show will be continued under another host.

The show can be heard around the clock on Dr. Joy's website (www.drjoy.com). Dr. Joy passed away unexpectedly at age 71 just before Labor Day.
 
GCN said last week that they would continue to distribute Dr. Joy Browne repeats until there is no longer a demand. GCN will also offer their affiliates a "non-political" show hosted by Michael Harrison for at least several weeks while they decide what their permanent replacement will be.
