El Zol is on Fm!!!!!

Miguel Amador, the person who was leasing 97.1 W246AQ 'Supra' has join forces with Compeitor El Zol Media to broadcast El Zol on 97.1!!!! This was a shocker he just bought 96.9 w245cj in Wilimington & 105.7 in vineland. Now El Zol is on fm compeiting with La Mega#

It looks like the pattern for W273CM is going to be very directional... ENE to WSW. So much so that going a couple of blocks almost due north or south of the transmitter and you'll be out of the range quickly.

So, another useless translator for Philly. Don't know what's the purpose of installing a translator in a city full of buildings and bridges. 250w in a big city is like a candle in the wind.

WPPZ does pretty well with 270 watts. (Albeit with a different tower location & height)

That is key!

W245AG-FM 96.9 MHz - Glenside, Pennsylvania - 13 Watts - 366 feet
W246AQ-FM 97.1 MHz - Collingswood, New Jersey - 10 Watts - 495 feet
W289AZ-FM 105.7 MHz - Trenton, New Jersey - 250Watts - 220 feet
W297AD-FM 107.3 MHz - Philadelphia, Pennsylvania - 20Watts - 143 feet

WPPZ-FM 103.9 MHz - Jenkintown, Pennsylvania - 270 Watts - 1109 feet

There is talk's about putting the signal somewhere in north Philly right on the center of the Hispanic community. Possible zip code areas where signal might be placed 19134, 19140, 19124, 19137

IMHO worthless if it doesn't cover all the city of Philadelphia and the surroundings with a decent signal.

If it covers the area where the HDHA areas are, that is generally enough to do quite well. Since Philadelphia has both Black and Hispanic HDHAs and qualifies for DST, it is probable that most of the Spanish Dominant Hispanic meters will be in that reduced area.
