Problems with Bing Maps on FCC FM Query

Am I the only one having this problem? Let's use KOSY-FM Anamosa(Cedar Rapids) as an example...
https://transition.fcc.gov/fcc-bin/fmq?list=0&facid=162475

When clicking on " Service Contour on Bing map (60 dBu)" Bing maps sends me to where it thinks is the home of my ISP, in my case Pueblo West CO, instead of
pulling up the coordinates of the station and displaying the contour map.

Here's what I get for a URL when I click on "service contour.."
http://www.bing.com/mapspreview?map...y=ANAMOSA&state=IA.kml&FORM=EXIPRV&signedup=1

I don't know if it's something I'm doing wrong or if it's a Bing problem. It just keeps me in this "preview" mode and I can't get rid of it.

I think it's a problem with Bing Maps. When I clicked on the link it showed the Jackson TN area where I am.

I found out that the location may vary according to where your internet service is coming from. I tried the link at work and it showed the New Jersey area, which is where our servers are.

I just realized that I hit my 4000th post!!!

Congrats on 4k!...At least I know now it isn't just me. With the FCC website getting revamped, this Bing maps problem probably isn't a big priority right now.

Back to copying the .kml files and putting them on Google Earth...

That's why I trust fccdata.org, they still have contours on their website, and tons more from other countries! There's Canada, UK, Australia, EVEN JAPAN! For us, IT'S NEW GOOGLE MAPS ALL OVER AGAIN, but with Bing instead of Google.

When I clicked the service contour link that was listed it pulled up correctly this time, so the problem must be fixed.

Not sure where you're finding that link. When I checked a sample on the FCC's FM Query https://www.fcc.gov/media/radio/fm-query the link for contour maps on Bing has been removed. Only option now I can find is to copy the .kml file and run it on Google Earth. The FCC IT folks have bigger fish to fry than this, admittedly.

Only thing is, that it's not the FCC's fault, it's Bing's and originally, Google's fault for upgrading their maps to a "newer" version that eliminates the FCC's chance to make maps for the new and updated version, since Google's My Maps is an only option and Bing, well, they don't (I suppose).

Thankfully, now, the FCC has a backup system ready and it's an OSM (OpenStreetMap) with OSM map and USGS satellite imagery and shaded relief. Now the FCC's prepared for what's happening to Bing, after they retire the old Bing Maps for the new one at the end of this year (New Google Maps all over again).
