Boston Radio Ratings, October 2015

Even an all oldies format (nothing after 1973) would possibly bill better then AMP
A classic hits format (1970-95) with a light sprinkling of 60s and mid 50s classics should do the trick

Do "the trick"? Would be better...for who? People 60+? Yeah, that'll do the trick! Advertisers would be jumping to get on board that one!

Both Kiss and JAM'n both seem to be under performing....wonder how long Clear...errr...iHeartMedia will put up with that...

WODS Amp 103.3 can't seem to get themselves noticed playing the most popular songs of the day?

Really? AMP 103.3 jumped to 1st place 18-34 pushing Kiss 108 to 2nd. Sounds like plenty of people noticed, just not the demo that frequents this board. ;)

Once again,no sign of WMEX so they must not subscribe.
They must be doing OK enough with the linep they have.
You can tell when a change is made..."WMEX changed
their profile pic-banner" on facebook. That shows the
lineup.Recently, Political Reality was dropped and I
guess they're rerunning Savage or Renegade Radio
then. Saw no info on site or facebook.

On July 10 after being on air a month and greatly
ballyhooed,Joe Ligotti's morning show was dropped.
No explanation. They evidently get to run an ad in the
Herald as part of the deal to run Herald Radio.
Now almost Dec and unchanged, still lists
and shows Ligotti mornings and Renegade Radio
at noon.

WMEX site.No info on what airs at noon.

I believe that only stations that achieve a minimum of a 0.1 share in the 6+ 6am-12mid sometime within the most recent four months are listed at all on that site, so it's possible that they may subscribe, but never achieved that share over the past four months.

While it is nearly always the equivalent of a 0.1, the minimum reporting standard is cume based. This is what Nielsen says in the most recent Description of Methodology:

MINIMUM REPORTING STANDARD
In a PPM Radio Market Report/eBook, we report estimates for any eligible station, stream, or combo that has a Cume Rating of 0.495 or greater in the Metro among Persons 6+ during the Monday-Sunday 6AM-Midnight daypart during the report period.
In a Diary Radio Market Report/eBook, we report audience estimates for any eligible station, stream, or combo that received credit in a minimum of 10 In-Tab Metro diaries, that has a Cume Rating of 0.495, and that has an AQH rating of 0.05 or greater in the Metro among Persons 12+ during the Monday-Sunday 6AM-Midnight daypart during the survey.

They don't. They do meet the minimum reporting standard, barely, and show in subscriber reports. Hint: its all over 55.

Not surprised Amp is getting its best numbers with 18-34, but beating Kiss there is a stunner. I assume Kiss wins this duel easily at 25-54 while Amp triumphs among the advertiser-shunned teens. Or are they more likely to be listening to Jam'n?
