I noticed there is a CP for Kiss FM, is that for non-directional signal. Because if that were the case it would have better coverage in the South Bay area.
The CP appears to be to change to a custom-designed antenna. In comparing the predicted signal pattern to the existing one, it seems to be somewhat less directional, but the current antenna's directionality isn't all that different.
KSSX's new antenna will be directionally optimized on a new, taller tower on the KGTV-10 site. This will free up the 'old' 10 bay for a possible future move-in.
The Midwest (channel 8 site) antenna originally had 6 FM's leasing there. But jacking up the rent sent 2 stations across the road to Channel 10. KPBS has
since moved in.
