Can't understand why WWMX is still being labeled as Hot AC. They are now at the point where no one can deny that they are pretty much straight up Top 40.... and I am glad! Just wish they had more coverage in the Germantown, Rockville, Gaithersburg area, along with all of Washington, DC and northern Virginia. ...And judging by those ratings, I guess my thoughts and ideas for a well-programmed top 40 station in the DC area that isn't afraid to break hits early or on a timely matter and is willing to play them all must not be as far off base as I thought, after all. Looks like it can be done here. WWMX must really have pulled this format tweak in a very slick way to have ratings like that, yet still, I'm the only one to notice the change as it was happening. Took a few months, but overall, smooth and nice transition. Now they just need to adjust the name of the station to something more fitting of the current sound - IF they are planning to stay as is or continue farther into the Top 40 direction. I like how CBS programs their stations.
