iBiquity sold to DTS

Does this bother any other broadcasters that have invested in HD equipment? Or is it just me? The Federal Communications Commission allowed this one company to control HD, and now the technology, patents, licensing, etc., will be in the hands of another private entity. At least iBiquity had heavy broadcaster investment.

I don't see a problem. Other than DTS will need to spend a ton more money if it expects to get any kind of return here.

Now that broadcasters have spent the big bucks, maybe the royalties will jump??? We have enough invested that we may be between a rock and a hard spot.

They need to look at this with fresh eyes. I think they should learn from Apple. Invite developers. Maybe they can think of a way to improve the system.
