Energy-Onix Pulsar 250

I'm cursed with this Pulsar 250 at the AM station, does anyone know how to disable the super touchy overmod kill switch?

This lovely little guy likes to shut itself down anytime the audio happens to peak for any split second. I'd venture to guess we'd be lucky to be pushing 100% Modulation. I know I have a hard time getting it to output all 250 watts.
