Hulu is reportedly considering an ad-free subscription tier that is expected to cost the user $12 to $14 per month, according to the Wall Street Journal. The current monthly fee is $7.99 for the streaming service’s premium version, and the ad-free option, which is could be available as early as this fall, is an attempt by Hulu to become more competitive with Netflix (which at 65 million paid subscribers worldwide is considerably larger than the estimated nine million for Hulu). The code name for the planned option is “NOAH,” which stands for “No Ads Hulu.”
