B103 Rebrands as 103.1 Max-FM

YoYoGo

Regular Participant
Lance Venta reports B103 has rebranded as 103.1 Max-FM.

The station retains the positioning as "Classic Hits Of The 70s, 80s And More".

Out in the change is "Big Voice Guy" Jim O'Brien while Bill "The Wiseman" Wise segues to co-owned Standards 1100AM/1370AM WHLI as PD and morning show host.

Jim Douglas, formerly of WWFS and WKJY joins Kelly Dyson on the morning show while Ralph Tortora joins as afternoon host and Program Director.

The full lineup is expected to be announced on Monday.

The B103.com website is no longer active with the new website now available at www.1031maxfm.com.

Bill Wise never seemed to fit the new format and should be much more comfortable on WHLI.

The addition of Ralph Tortora appears to be a savvy move given that now you have a person closely associated with rock formats now at the helm of a mostly rock format.

But of course time and ratings will tell exactly how savvy these moves will be.
