Noticed this afternoon while whizzing up the dial that KYOK isn't singing the Gospel praises as usual. Instead, it's Wash Allen on air "live from the KYOK studios", spinning old R&B. Right now Playing a mild James Brown hit from the early 60s.
Is this recent? I've not heard secular R&B on KYOK since its days at 1590. Am I just catching a time purchased by Wash Allen show, outside the regular Gospel programming? Did anyone else realize that within the city limits of Conroe, there actually IS a KYOK studio?
Perhaps a sign of good things to come from 1140, in its quest to head west to the ever dwindling prairies of Katy.
