Yep, the FCC chose Zenith/GE method of FM stereo over the competing Crosby-Teletronics system. The Crosby system was actually the better of the two finalists, mainly because it was inherently less susceptible to interference and had better frequency response than the Zenith/GE system. The Zenith/GE system won because it was compatible with the existing SCA services, already being allowed for FM broadcasting.
