Christmas Format

The holidays are here. Already Kiss-FM and 937TheWave have switched to a 24 hour Christmas format. The Wave is spending its second year in a row with an all Christmas format. They are branded 93-7 The Christmas Wave, using "Your Home for the Holidays" as a slogan. Kiss-FM (now a triplecast) becomes "Continuous Christmas Favorites" for the next month. Last year (before Kiss-FM flipped back to soft ac from hot ac) they kept their normal format, while mixing in some holiday tunes. Though, on Christmas day and possibly a couple days before they went completely holiday. The move back to all holiday makes sense, giving WRMO some competition. Listeners will find either station to play a great selection of holiday songs, but WRMO seems more robust. Not only is the music selection more carefully curated, but the sweepers and promos sound better.
