Semi-auroral to auroral conditions continued in an interesting way last night, with two new stations from AZ that should have not been on day power.
1380 - KLPZ Parker, AZ; strong on channel at times with classic country, ID "You're on KLPZ," and local ads including an American Family Insurance agent and a welding shop (The Welding Shop in Parker), at 0040 PT 10/24-25. NEW #632, 2.5KW (DAY POWER, SHOULD BE 58W), 919 miles. Audio clip to be posted later of this station. Came in well over a weaker than normal KRKO due to the high solar activity.
1170 - KYET Golden Valley, AZ; fair all alone over/under KSL IBOC with mention of Route 66, Allstate agent in Prescott Valley and ID "Cactus Country AM 1170." At 0045 PT 10/24-25. NEW #633, 6KW day power (should be 1W!), 853 miles.
