Rick Dees on Power 99

This week's 90s edition of the Weekly Top 40 on rick.com from 1991 mentions in hour 2 part 1 that Power 99 is the station for Atlanta. I know Star 94 picked him up in 1992 after Power flipped to 99X until 2007. Did anyone else play him before Power 99? I think he started his countdown in 1984.
