It really is a small world

The store I work at let 3 employees go last night including a female cashier I just found out I have much in common with. I can't have a relationship with her as she is married. But check this:

1. We attended the same high school, but she graduated a few years after I did. I studied Culinary Arts there. She studied Hairdressing/Cosmetology.

2. We worked at the same supermarket in Southington, Connecticut, but she worked there a couple of years before I did.

3. She shares my interest in radio. While I was an "intern" at a small station in Southington she was an intern at a major commercial station in Hartford - the now-defunct 106.9 WCCC. Plus she also interned at a non-commercial community station in Torrington - 89.9/105.1 WAPJ.

Marc, you are right that it is a small world; and that is a very nice story.

I am fond of "small world' anecdotes. In my own case, it has become a game with my oldest daughter and me. And now that I think about it, we're overdue for the next story. But one will appear just any day now. She's not burning as much jet fuel on the airlines these days so no stories about: "Guess who I sat next to on the airplane today...."
