Shooting in Ottawa

How is radio across Canada handling this tragic event? Did music station step down for breaking news? I assume the News/Talkers are reporting . . .

It is a trustworthy statement deserving full acceptance even today, that the Mounties always get their man. The second guy won't be on the loose for long.

...and as an American I am truly sorry for your grievous loss.

Here in Ottawa, 3 out of the 5 AMs had wall to wall coverage, News talk 580 CRFA, Sports radio CFGO 1200 and News radio CIWW 1310. The other 2 AMs are community stations in French and had regular programming. The FM's with the exception of the CBC stuck with regular format with frequent updates when needed, but for the most part some of them were directing the audience to a co-owned AM, if they had one.
