100.7 in Hot Springs Area?

AlexBrowne

Driving through the Hot Springs area this past weekend -- for the first time -- and was listening to an ESPN affiliate at 100.7. Is it a full-power station? Is it a translator? What are its call letters, and if it's a translator what is its parent station?

Oh.... it's time for us to introduce you to RADIO LOCATOR.

http://radio-locator.com/info/K264AU-FX

BUT... never assume Radio Locator is always accurate down to the last detail. Though the 100.7 is listed as a Translator serving Sheridan... that does not appear to be accurate. It repeats KZYP in Malvern and the tanslator is located at the west edge of Malvern... not far from the KZYP transmitter location.

You can click on the coverage map or you can click on the more detailed map when you wan to know where a facility is located. (Transmitter... but not the studio... if they are separate.)

Thanks, Goat Rodeo. I do know about Radio Locator, but I was having trouble confirming that KZYP was actually on the air or airing a sports format. Furthermore, Radio Locator is not always correct with translators. But I assume it is this time, and that K264AU is actually licensed to Sheridan, although its transmitter may be in Malvern. We're good!
