WHEN IS AOR (Album oriented rock) coming back to Houston??

What exactly IS AOR these days? We've got a classic rock and a new rock station currently, and if what KLOL became after it was sandwiched in between the sister classic rock "Arrow" and new rock "Buzz" stations is considered AOR, then you can keep it. That was a far cry from what KLOL's album days(daze, your choice) were all about.

Something to compete with The Eagle? Sure, we'll take it, but Big A is right. We white boys, wearing the combat boots and long hair 20 years ago and having 3 or 4 rock stations to peruse, are now the minority of Houston. Times change, and it's doubtful we'll ever bear witness to another true AOR like we once had in this town, ever again.

To quote the raven "Never more!"

Houston is not a city with the demographics to support an AOR station....KEGL is Dallas is not really AOR....REAL AOR died back in the late 80s/early 90s....
