Bloomberg's "With All Due Respect"

OK, "with all due respect," this show is awful. It debuted about a week ago.

I'm a big fan of Bloomberg radio for their great content about business, technology, the law, education, etc. ... but this show is a turkey on a number of levels. It's about political strategy. Nobody else covers that on radio! ;-)

It airs on TV and radio at 5 pm. So I'm driving home last week -- a week when the stock market has been tanking and surging two or three hundred Dow points a day -- and I punch up Bloomberg radio to get some perspective. Instead I hear badly mic'd TV audio of two guys yammering about politics! Sheesh. I'd rather listen to Hannity (just kidding.)

The selling point of this show according to the promos is that it isn't partisan. So what? Partisan and interesting beats non-partisan and dull as dishwater anytime.

Come on, Bloomberg, do what you do best and leave the political strategy to iHeart Media and Cumulus. Big mistake. I give this show six months.

5PM for an opinion show on a channel specializing in markets seems like a questionable slot. That's the time to recap the day and discuss stories impacting the market, not partisan bickering.

Otherwise, Bloomberg thinks, like HLN and other former full news channels that there are ratings to be had in shoutfests. Six months might be overly generous.
