A station placing much emphasis on what I call "Graffiti-Gold" has been 'going at it' since this past summer. They are 2,500 watts daytime only and use the handle "The Big 700".

They seem to have a large playlist and play stuff that not to many stations play, lots of doo wop and other oldies from the 1950's and early 1960's.They even throw in a country tune about every 10 songs. They may be daytime only but the internet stream is on 24/7. Have been listening for a couple months now and have only heard about 3 commercial's. Nice to be able to listen to this good music 3000 miles away from the station.
 
The station is looking for people to advertise. Hope they find some would hate to see it change formats or go off the air.

Same programing can also be heard on WCAT Burlington Vermont. http://www.wcat98.com/. WKCE was recently purchased by a new owner and went on the air with the oldies at the end of 2015. The owner of WKCE also provides the programing for WFAT and WCAT but does not own them. It is my understanding that he would like to purchase them if the current owner is willing to sell them. WKCE has a good morning show from 8AM to 10 AM Eastern time with Roger Morgan as the host. Roger was previously on the other two stations. He actually gives out the phone number and answers the phone himself to take requests and unlike the corporate run stations will actually try to find the song you want and play it. Hope they can make the format work and be profitable. Wish we had a station like this where I live but at least I can listen over the internet.
