KLove expands in the Carolina's

KLOVE expanding in the Carolinas with purchase of CIU's stations.

From All Access:

"EDUCATIONAL MEDIA FOUNDATION (EMF) Contemporary Christian K-LOVE/AIR1 Network has purchased WRCM/CHARLOTTE and WMHK/COLUMBIA from COLUMBIA INTERNATIONAL UNIVERSITY (CIU). - See more at: http://www.allaccess.com/net-news/archive/story/134070/emf-purchases-wrcm-wmhk#sthash.fE9wgt4h.dpuf"

I'm curious. Why did you post this here instead of in the local forum for the Carolinas? To people who live Charlotte or Columbia, that's important, interesting news. To the rest of us, it's irrelevant.

I'm interested in it because I'm interested in K-LOVE's expansions. I wouldn't have noticed it in the Carolinas boards.

Same here. ANYTHING beats another "I don't like CCM music" post!

What about the Carolina participants who don't read the music format posts? Don't they matter?

I don't see anything wrong with posting it in both areas. Besides K-LOVE is a national network so it would make sense to be in the national CCM forum as well.

Agree. I have no problem with it being in both places. I too would have never seen it on the Carolina boards so thanks for posting.

So did the University drop broadcasting from its offerings? These should be decent signals for K-Love as I believe they're full powered AMs and not translators.

You mean FMs. I know WMHK has a great signal because I was only scanning, which doesn't get all the stations, and I picked up this garbage (prior to K-Love) on 89.7 in Marlboro County.

I had forgotten K-Love was on WMHK. But assuming Wikipedia is correct, it's still there.
