What do Charlie Tuna and Jimmy Carter have in common? Both were memorialized in the form of transistor radios and both are part of the fourth quarter “Feature Display” at The Georgia Radio Museum and Hall of Fame. Visitors will see a large collection of transistors models from 1957 thru 2003. Most were donated; however, the museum is pleased to be able to display some of Columbus Georgia collector Ray Weavers extensive collection of transistor radios. Both the Tuna and Carter figure model are from that collection. Also, there are radios donated by the estates of prominent Georgia radio notables Elmo Ellis and Paul Drew.
